About the Opportunity

You will lead Aboriginal engagement for a major infrastructure project and build trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, RAPs and Aboriginal organisations. You will guide cultural protocols, manage cultural heritage requirements, and support Indigenous employment and procurement outcomes. The role reports to the Operational Support Manager and works closely with delivery, environment, land access, procurement and communications teams.

What are the key accountabilities for the position?

  • Lead Aboriginal engagement and build strong relationships

  • Guide cultural protocols across the project

  • Manage cultural heritage obligations and CHMP processes

  • Drive Indigenous employment and procurement outcomes

  • Deliver cultural capability training

  • Provide advice to leaders and project teams

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person

  • Experience in Aboriginal engagement

  • Understanding of cultural heritage legislation

  • Leadership and stakeholder skills

  • Experience on large infrastructure projects
