The Non-Clinical Safety and Veterinary Sciences organization enables the safe conduct of clinical studies and marketing applications while applying the core underlying principles of robust science & problem solving, 3R’s (reduce, replace, and refine), animal welfare, and quality & compliance to our nonclinical efforts. While focusing on transforming patients’ lives through science, we intend to be an industry-leading nonclinical safety evaluation, laboratory animal science and medicine organization with high scientific, quality, & employee safety standards

Position Summary 

This position contributes to the development, validation, implementation, and administration of computer systems for Nonclinical Safety (NCS) and Discovery Toxicology (DT)The role includes developing and applying new methods for data handling and assisting in the standardization of departmental computer systems. Additionally, this position provides support to users of these systems within NCS and DT, collaborates with IT support personnel and vendors to achieve objectives, and evaluates hardware and software products for scientific data collection and reporting. This role also directly supports regulatory submissions by creating nonclinical datasets. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Exhibit administrative expertise and ability to evaluate, implement, and provide user training for nonclinical safety data capture, and utilization systems. 

  • Author new, and revise standard operating procedures to complement the evolution of nonclinical data handling within nonclinical safety. 

  • Contribute to a Team atmosphere of scientific excellence, open communication, with creativity that targets maximum efficiency and productivity 

  • Support the retention of nonclinical records as backup archivist for nonclinical safety. 

  • Create compliant nonclinical datasets in support of regulatory submissions. 

  • Work in a regulated environment that complies with company Standard Operating Procedures, Good Laboratory Practices, and follows study protocols for nonclinical toxicology studies 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of academic / industry experience
  • Or Master's Degree 2+ years of academic / industry experience

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Possess knowledge of hardware and software data collection systems used for nonclinical safety data collection and reporting, understanding of validation requirements and reporting, and  

  • Excellent communication, team work, and time management skills 

  • Familiarity with nonclinical safety studies is preferred
