Under the direction of the Operations Superintendent and Shift Leads, the Finishing Operator processes bulk material on saws, straighter, and heat treat furnaces, and bundles for shipping. Finishing Operators must be flexible and willing to work any shift as needed to train and fill in for others on vacation or leave and/or to support production requirements.  

Starting Pay: $22.43

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Safely transport all products and supplies using forklifts and cranes. This includes the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and the storage of products in racks.
  • Create SAP Production Orders and enter processing data.
  • Set up and process material in the roll straightener, maintaining required dimensions.
  • Operate various bandsaws to process material to length following SAP routing information.
  • Bundle materials for safe shipment to outside vendors and follows specific bundling and shipping instructions based on customer's requirements.
  • Load and program heat treating and annealing equipment following standard operating procedures set up by Quality Control.
  • Perform required material inspection using micrometers and snap gauges and documents the results for quality control purposes.
  • Be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic math functions.
  • Multi-task without supervision.

      REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to accurately use measuring devices (tape measure, caliper, and micrometer).
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Must follow all environmental health and safety rules and regulations, which may require wearing a respirator, and must wear all other required safety equipment.
  • Must have concern for safety for themselves and co-workers.
  • Must have a positive, team player attitude.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
