The Engineering Director for Fleet Intelligence and Reliability serves as the technical authority for fleet behavior and operational performance across our global portfolio. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the "closed-loop" lifecycle—leveraging massive-scale fleet data to drive product reliability, operational excellence, and customer value.
You will lead a global, cross-functional organization accountable for advanced fleet analytics, proactive issue detection, root cause resolution, and reliability engineering. By bridging the gap between field performance and future product strategy, you will directly influence design, architecture, quality, and service innovation. This role is for a leader who excels at building high-performing, accountable teams and who champions the GE Vernova Way to foster a culture of technical rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Culture
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a global team of technical experts, RCA leaders, and reliability engineers.

Fleet Intelligence & Predictive Analytics
- Digital Transformation: Lead the development and deployment of advanced fleet intelligence, digital monitoring, and AI/ML-enabled analytics. Enable proactive issue detection, predictive maintenance insights, and automated event reconstruction.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Transform global fleet data into actionable intelligence. Use trend analysis to identify systemic risks and optimize fleet performance across inverter, BESS, and grid-integration domains.
- Innovation: Apply AI-enabled tools to optimize systems engineering processes, accelerating product improvement cycles and enhancing lifecycle decision-making.
Reliability Engineering & Closed-Loop Learning
- Serve as the final technical voice for fleet behavior. Lead complex root cause investigations (RCA) and oversee rigorous corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- artner with Product COEs, Systems Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure field learnings are institutionalized into future designs, manufacturing processes, controls logic, and service practices.
- Establish robust reliability metrics and strategies to reduce repeat failures, enhance long-term portfolio performance, and improve system availability.
Cross-Functional Influence & Growth
- Collaborate with Product COEs and Innovation teams to translate fleet insights into differentiated, next-generation product requirements and system architectures.
- Identify and execute fleet optimization opportunities, including CM&U (Conditions, Maintenance & Upgrades) initiatives that drive customer value, increased availability, and new revenue growth.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for senior leadership and key customers, communicating complex technical topics with clarity, urgency, and strategic focus.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Significant experience in engineering, product development, system integration, or product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in direct alignment with the GE Vernova Way, with demonstrated focus on accountability, collaboration, and talent development.
- Deep expertise in complex industrial product environments, specifically utility-scale energy systems (BESS, inverters, power electronics, controls, and grid integration).
- Proven success utilizing fleet analytics, digital platforms, or data-driven engineering to improve product performance and operational reliability.
- Demonstrated mastery in leading complex, multi-disciplinary root cause investigations and driving global reliability initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead and influence across a matrixed, global organization.
