About You
We're looking to recruit an FP&A Manager, APAC, to support the Asia Pacific team's commercial performance. This role reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A Commercial Finance APAC, based in Singapore.
Your role will lead the FP&A organisation across the APAC Region of Tate and Lyle, supporting the strategic growth and profitability of the region by supporting all FP&A activities in APAC in partnership with the Senior Manager, FP&A Commercial Finance APAC and Global Business Services (GBS)

What You’ll Be Doing
FP&A - Forecasting, Budgets and 5 Year Plan and actuals
- Understand and communicate drivers of performance vs budget, forecast and last year to Region Leadership, the Group CFO/ FPA teams, as well as the Management team
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of FP&A activity within the region in partnership with the Regional VP Finance and Group FP&A
- Support the Regional Head of Commercial Finance in the delivery of all forecasts, budgets and 5YP processes in partnership with the relevant sales leaders (mixture of VPs and Directors) for review and approval by the VP Finance and the regional President. Role will also prepare associated reporting packs for review with Exco (Via the Group Op Co), FLT and Region Management Team
- Manage and develop the month-end management results process to ensure reliable results delivered (working alongside GBS and the Region Controller); inc. preparation of all reporting for the wider group and owning all review meetings with the Group.
- Responsible for the Financial outlook process, from driving discussion with regional commercial finance teams through to reporting and meeting preparation with Group FPA/CFO
- Prepare management reporting for the Regional Head of Commercial Finance, VP Finance and wider Region management team, including deputising for the Regional Head of Commercial Finance at the MBR
- Interrogating the results of the business, liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that senior leaders (regional and global) understand drivers of results, key trends and variances- driving action plans as a result
- Ad-hoc FP&A deliverables as required
- Work to continuously improve FP&A processes and quality of insights delivere,d including working with Group FPA, the GBS and other key financial stakeholders
- Identify process improvement opportunities, and drive through change to reduce inefficiencies within the business
- Support the implementation of the agreed SIP model and year-end payouts for the region
Annual contracting
- Support the regional commercial finance teams in the critical annual contracting process, ensuring that the region is on track to deliver the regional targets in partnership with the VP Finance
- Work with global operations and procurement teams to ensure the commercial organisation understands the cost drivers and headwinds, ahead of price setting.
- Own weekly reporting and drive value-add review meetings with the APAC management team/product managers on contracting.
- Provide ‘real-time’ impact analysis on contracting results to date and ensure issues are quickly identified, resolved, and consequences quantified.
Others
- Manage a team of finance resources in FP,&A, both directly and indirectly, driving the relevant teams in the GBS.
- Manage, motivate and develop the FPA resources to deliver consistently high standards of service to the business, and support their careers.
- Work with procurement to assess and determine the impact on the company
- Ad hoc M&A activities where needed.
- Deputising as needed in the Group Op Co (Audience CEO and CFO of T&L) and Region MBR/ Management meeting.
- Constructively challenge the senior commercial leadership and their teams to support the profit delivery of the business.
- Build strong working relationships with the Region leadership team and senior commercial management to ensure the business units' business plans are delivered, and longer-term growth aspirations are within reach

Location
This role is open for application for candidates based in both locations:
- Shanghai (our office is located in Xuhui District) or
- Singapore (our office is located in Biopolis (Buona Vista MRT)
What You'll Have
- At least 8-10 years of experience in FP&A.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may hold a professional qualification at this level.
- Strong understanding of the policies, objectives, operations and related activities within a Financial Planning & Analysis Sub-Function or part of a Sub-Region. Specialist knowledge in financial modelling, commercial planning and risk management, and broad knowledge of several related disciplines.
- Strong communication skills to persuade and influence stakeholders. The role needs to adapt styles, interpret and explain information to different audiences inside and outside the organisation who are not familiar with the subject matter.
- Lead a team of Financial Planning & Analysis professionals within a Large Country. Accountable for meeting team targets, delegating work and managing resources within the team, including line management duties.
- Resolve FP&A-related issues that are complex or unusual requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
- Proven ability to significantly influence sub-functional / sub-regional outcomes through effective decision-making for assigned teams
- Provides guidance on applying existing principles and contributes insights to the development of new policies and strategies.
