Education

Bachelor degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience

+5 years of experience in a similar position in a comparable technical environment

Skills

  • Experience working in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and OpenShift environments, managing medium to large-scale infrastructures.
  • Understanding of Linux-based environments, including system administration, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with deployment and management of production systems, including regular maintenance and upgrades using Ansible Tower and Red Hat Satellite.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve system performance or stability issues.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health and proactively address potential issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and supporting various squads in their production activities.
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence, Nexus, and ServiceNow for task management, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in system administration and production environments.
  • Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or OpenShift Certification are a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technical environments and contribute to continuous improvement in operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure system software and applications on servers using standard installation procedures or automation scripts.
  • Provide technical support for various applications, troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless performance.
  • Respond to customer queries and internal requests regarding software products within specified timeframes, ensuring high levels of service.
  • Establish and adhere to standard operating procedures to resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending upgrades to existing software packages to improve performance, operability, and support.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to identify system issues, provide resolutions, and improve overall system reliability.
  • Perform procedures and operational tests to ensure that systems and software meet defined standards and business requirements.
  • Contribute to maintaining a culture of continuous learning within the team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, business requirements, and progress.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging teamwork within the department and across teams, leading by example.
