THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

As an AI Specialist, you will lead the adoption of AI Task automation solutions that drive business value across the business. This role plays a critical part in the AI Adoption agenda spearheading the application of cutting-edge AI technologies, including Generative AI (GenAI), to enhance client experience, unlock new growth opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.

You will operate, working in close collaboration with business leaders, scientist teams, and technology partners to deliver innovative and responsible AI at scale. This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence and shape the strategic agenda for AI adoption and spearhead the deployment of Santander's AI products.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high-impact Task Automation AI/GenAI use cases across the value chain (e.g., hyper-personalization, intelligent automation, risk management, investment advisory)
• Partner with business teams to embedded generative AI in their daily workflows
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with ethical, regulatory, and data privacy standards
• Identify and define metrics to track adoption, performance, and developer impact.
• Drive cross-functional adoption initiatives involving IT, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product owners and platform leaders to align AI tooling adoption with business priorities and technical roadmaps.
• Translate complex AI concepts into actionable insights for a wide range of audiences, including executives, and business teams.
• Design and deliver education, enablement, and communication strategies to build awareness and skills across business teams.
• Detect and address organizational resistance to change, ensuring sustainable cultural adoption

Professional Experience

• 4+ years of experience in global roles, with a strong track record of solving real-world problems using advanced analytics. (Required).
• 2+ years of domain-specific experience in financial services. (Required).
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives and multidisciplinary teams in complex environments. (Required).
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies and their business applications. (Required).
• Experience working with cloud-based AI platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) (Required).

Education

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. (Required).
• Relevant certifications in AI/ML and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus. (Required).

Hard Skills

• Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and GenAI techniques (including prompt engineering) (Required).
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and AI development libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) (Required).
• Solid understanding of financial services technology and use cases. (Required).
• Strong foundation in predictive analytics, data science methodologies, and MLOps. (Required).
• Knowledge of data privacy, model governance, and responsible/ethical AI frameworks. (Required).
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into actionable business outcomes. (Required).
• Change leadership and experience driving organizational transformation through emerging technologies. (Required).

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, across technical and non-technical audiences. (Required).
