Daily challenges

  • Working on shifts (incl. night shifts).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Deploy and follow solutions/procedures to fix client’s issues.
  • Implementing changes in the Backup environment.
  • Customer contact on the projects/tasks he/she is responsible for.
  • Every-day learn to stay on top of the Backup and Recovery technology (access to the DXC Technology training systems available).

eXperience and skills required

  • Engineer in Computer Science with at least 1 year of experience in IT area;
  • Understanding of Network Technologies and protocols – TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, switches, firewalls, routers;
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Windows or Linux server administration;
  • Knowledge of Backup hardware (physical and disk-based Virtual Tape Library (VTL) libraries);
  • Knowledge of ITSM, ITIL or equivalent Service Management qualifications;
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and processes;
  • Any qualifications exceeding the requirements will be considered as advantage.
