PROGRAM DETAILS

At Capstone, we seek to harness the complexities of global derivatives markets with disciplined strategic insight, an experienced, accomplished team and advanced technology to create sustainable value. We’ve created a particular approach to investment that we believe drives continuous improvement and opportunities for our clients, team and industry. 

As an intern, you can be part of the disciplined collaboration in a 10-week program designed to give you exposure to senior team members and our CEO Paul Britton. You will be given a project that is both educational and has a value add to the business. At the end of the summer, you will present your project to the senior leadership team. Throughout the program you will also attend educational sessions and team building events. 

DEPARTMENT

The IT development team creates applications and technical tools for different teams within the firm. These applications include investment management tools for traders, systems to automatically process trades, tools for accounting, legal and compliance as well as risk management to oversee the investment process. The IT development team is divided into sub teams, which are aligned with different groups in the firm. 

 

DESIRABLE CANDIDATES:

  • Proficiency in Python and/or Java 
  • Proficiency in SQL with hands on project experience a plus 
  • Some proficiency from in either C# or C++ a plus 
  • Fast learner and able to contribute, with a team-player mentality 
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical members of the broader team
