About you:

You’re someone who enjoys bringing clarity to numbers and helping others make sense of financial data. You’re confident working with revenue accounting processes and understand how your work supports better business decisions. You like collaborating with others and take pride in delivering accurate, reliable information.

You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift, and you stay focused on getting things right. You’re also keen to improve how things work — whether that’s refining processes or helping teams use systems more effectively.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Lead the month-end close for revenue, making sure everything is accurate and completed on time.
• Prepare and review journals, accruals and reconciliations, and keep financial records up to date.
• Work closely with billing, credit control and financial reporting teams to ensure revenue is recognised correctly and invoicing runs smoothly.
• Support improvements to systems and processes, including helping to implement tools and revenue recognition standards such as Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102) and International Financial Reporting Standard 15 (IFRS 15).

Your skills and experiences might also include:

• Experience in revenue accounting and applying standards like Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102) and International Financial Reporting Standard 15 (IFRS 15).
• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and confidence working with financial data and Excel.
• Experience working with finance systems or tools — for example enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or structured data tools like SQL.
