Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for executing investor relations focused initiatives for existing and prospective investors in Brookfield Infrastructure Group’s private funds. This includes leading and executing investor relations strategies, capital raising for private funds and co-investments, and contributing to strategic initiatives to service Brookfield’s private fund global investor base. The individual will interact within all levels of the infrastructure organization, including senior leadership, investment professionals and portfolio managers.

The individual selected will play a critical role in maintaining and strategically growing Brookfield Infrastructure’s investor base, while being part of a fast-paced and engaging team environment that is at the forefront of infrastructure investing. Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage relationships with institutional investors across the private funds platform;

  • Articulate Brookfield’s infrastructure strategy, investment approach, and key messaging clearly to stakeholders;

  • Develop succinct responses to macroeconomic, geopolitical, regulatory, and sector-specific developments relevant to the business;

  • Manage communications relating to new investment and monetization activity, including preparation of deal notices, Q&A materials, and case studies;

  • Contribute to quarter end reporting and communications to investors, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness;

  • Plan and be responsible for recurring investor events, such as the annual investor conference;

  • Support new fundraising initiatives, including new fund onboarding and related collateral;

  • Collaborate with counterparts at Brookfield’s Global Client Group, the other private fund investor relations teams, and other business groups to ensure a coordinated market approach;

  • Be a leader within the investor relations and strategic initiatives team, contributing to team development and mentorship;

  • Execute strategic initiatives as required, including co-investments, strategic partnership proposals, and ad-hoc presentations.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting;

  • CPA, MBA and/or CFA designation is preferred;

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in any of the following disciplines: investor relations, corporate development, investment banking, or capital markets;

  • Experience working with private fund investors;

  • Real asset experience, particularly in Infrastructure, will be viewed as a benefit;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook);

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of dealing with varying levels of seniority within and outside of the organization;

  • Analytic and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations, with strong attention to detail;

  • Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive priorities while meeting timelines;

  • Proactive self-starter who is able to handle pressure effectively and has experience working with senior management teams;

  • Team-oriented; demonstrates a commitment to shared success above any personal accomplishment or recognition.
