JOB TITLE: Principal Product Designer (US REMOTE)

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Principal Product Designer to help shape the future of our platform’s user experience. In this pivotal role, you will drive design excellence across the team while working closely with our Marketing organization to craft a seamless narrative that guides users from awareness to deep engagement and loyalty. As a key partner to cross-functional teams, you will mentor designers and influence decisions that inspire and empower music creators across web and native applications.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Set a bold vision and drive design innovation through user-centered solutions that elevate product excellence, focusing on web and native experiences.
  • Mentor and empower the design team by promoting best practices and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous feedback, and growth.
  • Lead cross-functional design initiatives, collaborating with product, engineering, and user research teams to align user experience with business goals and technical constraints.
  • Build and refine scalable design systems that ensure brand consistency, adaptability, and innovation across the platform, amplifying the design team’s impact.
  • Utilize user research and usability testing insights to guide high-level strategic design decisions that enhance the overall product experience.
  • Champion industry trends and emerging technologies, especially in creative tech and AI workflows, integrating them into the design process to stay ahead of the curve.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 12+ years of experience as a Product Designer or equivalent role, with a robust portfolio showcasing leadership in design innovation and solving complex challenges.
  • Proven brand creative marketing and storytelling expertise, effectively integrating design with brand narratives.
  • Demonstrated success in driving high-quality user experiences and influencing design outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive experience managing and scaling design systems to ensure a consistent, cohesive user experience across diverse platforms.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a history of building effective partnerships with engineering, product, and other teams.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for driving design excellence at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Open to feedback and committed to fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented design culture.

 

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth organizations and navigating rapid changes to scale design solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with music production.
  • Familiarity with creative AI workflows and their application in user experience design.

 

The national pay range for this role is $167,500$180,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
