Pay Range:
$69,800.00 - $114,800.00Position Summary:
The Senior Buyer leads complex purchasing activities and independently manages supply continuity across critical materials and suppliers. This role resolves issues of diverse scope through analysis and creative problem-solving, exercises significant judgment, and provides guidance to lower-level Buyers. The Senior Buyer collaborates broadly across departments and typically receives minimal instruction on day-to-day responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead procurement activities for complex or critical materials to ensure uninterrupted supply
Independently manage supplier performance, delivery issues, and inventory risks
Analyze supply, demand, and inventory trends to recommend corrective actions
Resolve a wide range of purchasing and supply issues using sound judgment and experience
Build strong cross-functional partnerships to align supply strategies and execution
Train and mentor lower-level Buyers on purchasing processes, tools, and best practices
Drive process improvements and contribute to purchasing and supply chain initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing
Advanced experience with ERP or MRP systems
Experience in regulated environments (ISO 9001 / ISO 13485) required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and supply chain principles
Skills in troubleshooting complex supply issues and leading independent initiatives
Skills in mentoring and knowledge sharing
Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions with limited guidance
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
Onsite work in a standard business office and operations environment
Minimal travel within North America.
Ability to work hours that conform to core department operations (9am – 3 pm)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
