Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
End to end responsibility for field operation (site management, civil, installation and commissioning) execution across various sites with focus of EPC turnkey solutions Globally, in offshore wind in Europe, Transportation (Train in UK, IN and TH) and other various countries. Develop, introduce and follow internal processes and tools in close cooperation with the Operations Manager’s, responsible for project execution of all projects on our market.
Responsible for coordinating all field operation activities to ensure timely mobilization of sub-contractor/s for local works, proper manpower planning to manage site mobilization, civil construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, health & safety requirements. Support our project manager with instruction and guidelines, method statements, procedures, risk assessment and various supporting documentation to fulfill customer satisfaction and demobilize and close the project on time within agreed budget.
Mainly leads and oversees the field operations organization for Linxon CH/DE, ensuring that Linxon policies are consistently followed. Follows, customizes and continuously improves standard processes and gives regular feedback to Operations Manager’s. Ensures that lessons learned are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
Travel within CH/DE and if needed Globally may be required.
Participates in Sales planning to schedule tender support for field operation cost estimations, contracting strategies, time schedules, site execution organizations with other functional members to manage quality during our sales process of our target opportunities to secure our business growth with quality.
Participates in Operations planning and staffing needs with other members of the functional teams and takes actions to forecast budget for internal training courses to close potential gaps in Field Operations functional capacity.
Ensures that all sites within the area of responsibility have detailed and up-to-date Health & Safety (H&S) plans & security protocol in place for each project site, compliant with the Linxon H&S and security plan. Ensures all Civil Construction & Site Managers have conducted all training on company health, safety and environment policy and that our sub-contractors strictly follow all required trainings before being mobilized at site and proactively adhere to health and safety routines established for each project throughout the project lifecycle from mobilization to closure.
In close coordination with Supply Chain and Operation Management, manage selection of the right sub-contractor for each project and ensures that our selected sub-contractors perform the execution as per contractual and customer requirements and that we manage to close the project and demobilize within contractual completion time and budget with full customer satisfaction.
Support tender managers and project manager’s with competitive budget for all local works submitted at tender stage. Monitor site spending as per budget including active claim management towards customer or sub suppliers or partners in collaboration with our project managers.
Ensure that site material handling procedures are in place and implemented, as per the Linxon global procedures, that material is properly protected, stored, marked and handed over to the installation contractor.
Ensures all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained and latest revisions are used for the construction, erection, testing and commissioning work on site. Manage and update one complete set of As-Built documentation at site so we can submit contractual As Build documentation to receive Final Acceptance Certificate from customer.
Ensures (with HR support) that project construction sites are properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports as per HR policies.
