As the Product Owner II - IT, you will be the strategic visionary responsible for defining and driving the direction of our product team. You will lead a talented group of professionals to manage all aspects of our product platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, security, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Establish and communicate the strategic vision and direction for the product team, aligning with upper management and key stakeholders.
Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive 3-year product roadmap, release plan, and backlog.
Project Management: Oversee product-specific project plans, negotiate feature requirements, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Agile Methodologies: Lead the team in using agile methodologies, including Scrum, to enhance team effectiveness and productivity.
Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical jargon into business benefits, training internal teams and key stakeholders on product features.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Architecture, Security Liaison, and the Platform Director to manage the product platform.
Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality and information security requirements are met, coordinating software releases and resolving product defects.
Technical Fluency: Ability to participate and lead technical discussions within the product space, while also engaging with business partners to understand their needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working across architecture and infrastructure teams, driving outcomes required by business partners.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to facilitate and resolve disagreements over scope, design, and requirements.
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Proficiency with third-party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and techniques.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate both marketing and IT needs/issues to diverse groups.
Agile Development: Deep understanding of iterative/agile development processes.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Development, or a related field.
Experience: 6-8 years of information technology experience.
Certification: Agile Product Owner certification or equivalent preferred.
This position will be based at our National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
