About the Role

Weee! is seeking a Seafood Buyer specializing in sourcing and merchandising seafood products. This role is perfect for someone passionate about seafood and experienced in the nuances of seafood procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Implement merchandising strategies to optimize sales and profitability within the seafood category.
• Source and curate the seafood product assortment, identifying new items, trends, and growth opportunities.
• Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences within the seafood market.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and support.
• Review purchase orders and payments, and address operational issues to ensure smooth collaborations with the vendors. 
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels and ensure product availability. 
• Work with marketing and regional teams to implement promotional campaigns and drive sales performance. 
• Consult with Latino and Filipino merchandising teams to align seafood promotion and assortment planning with customer preferences. 
• Prepare and present regular performance reports on sales, margins, and key metrics.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in grocery category management, with expertise in seafood procurement.
• Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and trends in the seafood industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Tableau dashboards and other data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $71,000-87,500
• This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
• Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
