Senior GMD Readiness Program Management Specialist

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior GMD Readiness Program Management Specialist to join the Ground-Based Midcourse defense Program in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads development of the program architecture and top level plans for highly complex programs

  • Identifies key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities, teams, suppliers, partners and customers

  • Leads the resolution of program issues

  • Uncovers and resolves issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs

  • Analyzes program metrics

  • Recommends program recovery acceleration plans, changes and corrective actions

  • Leads the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices.

  • Conducts Independent Reviews

  • Develops and implements customer and program communication and contact plans

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • More than 5 years of experience with Program Management, including scheduling and Cost Account Manager (CAM) Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership

  • Experience working with MS Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and MS Project

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in hardware and software integration

  • Experience with the Ballistic Missile Defense System, Ground-based Mid-course Defense program and/or the Missile Defense Agency

  • Experience with operations and maintenance of a weapon systems

Position may require travel up to 35% of the time.

Summary pay range: $157,250 - $212,750
