What you will do
Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy in alignment with its mission, vision, and goals.
Provide financial analyses, insights and guidance to the executive leadership team to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements to achieve short-term and long-term financial objectives including; profitability and growth objectives.
Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Lead the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors.
Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for key risks of the business to support corporate enterprise risk management activities.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures that enhance financial controls and minimize risks.
Stay current on regulatory and industry changes, ensuring compliance across all financial practices.
Collaborate with peers in operations, sales, and other departments to develop commercial terms and ensure financial viability of key customers and vendor contracts and agreements.
Analyze pricing models, cost structures, and market opportunities to enhance profitability and competitiveness.
Support M&A activities, including identification and execution of new business opportunities to support growth objectives including financial due diligence and integration planning.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to foster professional growth and ensure high performance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the finance function of Travero and with the corporate finance function of Alliant Energy.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting or related field required.
Master's Degree Finance, Accounting or CPA preferred.
Required Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, ideally in the logistics industry.
Five years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in risk management, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
High integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Preferred Experience
Experience in logistics, manufacturing
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial tools.
Track record of success in leading cross-functional initiatives and driving business results.
