As the Design Development Technical Leader of HBM Design, you work multi-functionally across DRAM, logic/interface die, IP design and Foundry Interface organizations within the Heterogenous Integration Group (HIG) and be responsible for driving execution across all design activities. You will be responsible for delivering HBM product DBR on schedule across internal and external foundries. You will collaborate with Micron’s global groups such as PDT, Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Business to proactively align with future products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As technical HBM design program lead, be the voice of HBM design in multi-functional company forums like PDT.
  • Drive vertical integration with the business unit and PDT to understand, support and fulfill business needs.
  • Work with collaborators to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with multi-functional partners across the company.
  • Responsible for helping identify program and technical risks and build mitigation plans, working in close collaboration with design, strategy, and architecture teams to ensure product excellence and timeliness.
  • Monitor and report key metrics. Drive improvement programs as appropriate.
  • Develop and refine business processes to drive market leadership, applying lessons learned and improving execution.
  • Regularly provide status reporting updates to executives and critical issue when needed.
  • Ensure HBM products are best-in-class for speed, power, cost, quality, and reliability by collaborating with HBM engineering teams.
  • Cultivate cross-group communication to work towards standardization and group success.
  • Lead design contractor, IP vendor, procurement engagements

Successful candidates for this position:

  • Should have understanding of custom and digital design flows
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to guide large organizations to success while communicating effectively with the organization, peers, and executives.
  • Consistent record of strategic vision and ability to drive product planning, roadmap definition, resource planning, deep Industry networks.
  • Familiarity with the full cycle of SoC development, from architectural spec development to frontend and backend design, verification, and post-silicon bring-up.
  • Experience working with IP providers and SoC and DRAM ecosystem partners ensuring smooth pre-silicon and post-silicon engagement.
  • Knowledge of DRAM operation, preferably with the HBM product family.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., JEDEC, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in project management methodologies.
  • Strong collaboration, adaptability, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$158,000.00 - $298,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
