IT Audit Manager

Assurant is seeking an IT Audit Manager to lead integrated and standalone IT audit efforts across a complex technology environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, risk-focused audits, managing a team of auditors, and driving meaningful insights aligned to enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of IT audits (standalone and integrated), including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud, and data governance

• Identify risks, evaluate internal controls, perform data analytics, and report key findings with clear business impact

• Ensure audits are executed in accordance with IIA Standards, ISACA guidance, and Internal Audit methodology

• Present audit results, risk assessments, and recommendations to IT and business stakeholders

• Assess IT governance and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001)

• Evaluate cybersecurity programs, including identity and access management, incident response, and data protection controls

• Validate remediation of audit findings and monitor management action plans

• Provide advisory support on system implementations and technology transformations

• Build strong, credible relationships while maintaining independence and objectivity

• Manage, coach, and develop IT auditors, interns, and external partners

• Lead audit engagements to successful outcomes, ensuring quality documentation and adherence to standards

• Oversee third-party resources supporting audit delivery or staff augmentation

• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Cybersecurity, or related field

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in IT audit, IT risk, cybersecurity, or IT controls

• Minimum 2 years leading audit teams or complex audit engagements

• Experience auditing enterprise environments (cloud, applications, infrastructure)

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, NIST, ISO, COBIT, SOC)

• Strong understanding of IT controls (access, change management, security, operations, data governance)

• Knowledge of internal audit standards (IIA) and control frameworks (COSO)

• Ability to assess risk, identify root causes, and provide practical recommendations

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

• Clear, concise written communication and strong audit documentation discipline

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure

Preferred

• Master’s degree in a related field

• Relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, etc.)

• Project management or agile certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe, etc.)

Pay Range:

$103,800.00 - $173,300.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
