What will you do

The Procurement Manager in a factory environment is responsible for overseeing the sourcing of direct and indirect materials, services, and equipment required for production. This role ensures cost-effective procurement strategies, supplier performance, and alignment with plant operations and corporate procurement policies.

How you will do it

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories (e.g., raw materials, MRO, packaging).

    • Align sourcing decisions with global and regional category strategies and plant-specific needs

  • Supplier Management

    • Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.

    • Lead supplier negotiations and contract management in coordination with legal and compliance teams

  • Operational Procurement

    • Ensure timely procurement of materials to support uninterrupted production.

    • Collaborate with planning, logistics, and quality teams to resolve supply issues and optimize inventory

  • Cost & Risk Management

    • Conduct cost analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives.

    • Monitor market trends and risks (e.g., tariffs, shortages) and develop mitigation plans

  • Compliance & Governance

    • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, including use of standard T&Cs and RASIC accountability models

    • Support audits and maintain documentation for traceability and compliance.

  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and develop a team of buyers or analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

    • Coordinate with regional and global procurement teams to share best practices and leverage scale

What we look for

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment.

  • At least 5 years of leadership or managerial experience, with the ability to guide and develop a team.

  • Knowledge of IREF industry

  • Danish language skills to support collaboration with local stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Experience working with ERP systems, such as SAP, and other procurement tools.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, cost modeling, and supplier quality processes.
