We are looking for a Senior Manager, Strategy Operations to join our Strategy Operations team.
This new team focuses on supporting our people across Technology (talent optimization) and our processes (operational efficiency) to remove barriers and scale opportunities for growth, enabling Technology to contribute to the overall growth strategy for Dow Jones.
As Senior Manager, Strategy Operations, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing new ways of working (systems, processes, and mechanisms) to improve productivity and transparency and helping to build and support a high-performing, scalable Technology team.
This will be a highly collaborative role requiring partnerships across the Technology group.
The Senior Manager, Strategy Operations will report to the Head of Strategy Operations.
Utilize industry leading methodologies to map, prototype and iterate on ways our team works
Contribute to defining and optimizing standardized processes and methods to support the scaling of operational efficiencies
Help develop and maintain standardized and repeatable documentation and workflows
Help lead change management initiatives, defining scope, identifying resourcing needs, and handling stakeholder management.
Support organizing and facilitating workflow/discovery sessions and other creative workshops with cross functional teams and stakeholders as needed
Support Technology teams in succeeding and delivering on goals, while continuously seeking out ways to improve our process, capabilities and culture
Support everyone in Technology to have the right tools, resources, and processes they need to succeed in their roles with a focus on culture and communications
Work in tandem with Office of CTO to support communication and cultural initiatives including the Tech Hub, Tech monthly newsletter and other events
Role requires 3 days each week in office (as per current mandate, may change)
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, related field, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of of experience in program management
Excellent operational and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with Technology teams with a broad understanding of all roles/functions across teams including product, engineering, design and data/AI.
Strong proficiency with G-suite products and experience with professional collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and Airtable.
A passion for supporting and enabling people to do their best work.
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum
Experience in the media industry
