Summary

The Electromechanical Assembler I is responsible for assembling modules for our Quantum Next Heaters.  The position requires the individual to be detail-oriented and skilled with using hand tools, soldering equipment and testing instruments.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assemble heater modules, including heating elements
  • Read and follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Perform tasks such as soldering, wiring, and component installation with precision.
  • Conducts quality checks on assembled components to ensure they have the proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts as needed
  • Identify and report any assembly issues or discrepancies to supervisors or engineers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions

  • Ability to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, write by hand, basic computer skills, and operate simple hand tools used to crimp, cut, strip and measure.
  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Communication is in person.
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work, computer use and reading assembly drawings and work instructions.

Job Conditions

  • General manufacturing environment
  • Minimal chemical handling. 
  • PPE required in some areas.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment in an assembly role
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly, preferably building sub-assemblies is a plus
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, product drawings and diagrams
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and testing instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus
