Job Title:

Job Summary:

Carries out daily operational activities associated with hospital supply chain including: Supply distribution and replenishment, receiving and delivery, mail services and post office, warehouse inventory, and the coordinated supply support system.

Education & Experience

High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience stocking, loading, replenishing or distributing inventory or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Computer skills and the ability to work with related software programs.  Must have Microsoft knowledge and be able to navigate through spreadsheets/databases.  Knowledge of shipping, receiving, stocking, and equipment and inventory management methods and procedures.  Interpersonal skills to interact with staff and upper level management. Communications skills, verbal and written.  Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for auditing and management of replenishment system and resolution of issues
  • Operates all replenishment system software and programs according to institutional and department policy and procedures.
  • Facilitates physical set up of area including scales, controllers, downloaders, probes, shelf registration, mobile cart and computers
  • Monitors and reports expired stock and improper stock rotation, identifies issues and seeks resolution. Demonstrates ability to ensure DNV compliance for stock storage.
  • Stocks, maintains and controls inventory of supplies for assigned areas according to the department policy and procedures. Delivers and verifies incoming shipments and/or materials to assigned destinations according to departmental policy and procedures.
  • Orders required supplies for assigned areas according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Opens, picks, closes and distributes internal orders according to departmental policy and procedures.
  • Adheres to required hospital standards relative to internal policies, OSHA, TJC and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Creates and submits daily system tracking report for all changes
  • Fleet responsibilities and scheduling.

(occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
