Specifics Include:

• Lead the design and implementation of sophisticated IT systems that meet complex business needs and ensure integration with business processes for operational efficiencies
• Collaborate with senior management to define and refine IT strategies that align with business goals and influence the strategic direction of IT systems analysis, driving efficiency and scalability across the organization
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT analysts and teams, ensuring high-quality project execution and championing the adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance business systems
• Make high-level decisions regarding system design, technology adoption, and process improvements, directly impacting the development and execution of business-critical IT systems
• Provide input into long-term strategic planning, influencing the technical direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and refine requirements for delivering the necessary technology to Services business.   Act as 3rd level of troubleshooting assisting the support teams and processes.

The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the business and solution teams to translate Service business requirements and user stories into high quality functional design documents that can be delivered by the solution teams to ensure the best user experience possible for customers. This position is focused on the Alcon Vision Suite services (Technical Services, Field Services Applications).

  • Understand and document Service business processes
  • Work with Production Support team in the research and resolution of production issues
  • 3rd level of support for System / Process questions and issue analysis
  • Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders
  • Liaise with the service development team to suggest a high-level functional solution.
  • Perform in a functional expert role to the Agile team
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and prioritize business and functional requirements through Backlog Grooming and Sprint Planning sessions
  • Develop user stories that satisfy business requirements while providing the best user experience possible, including appropriate acceptance criteria and testing requirements
  • Conduct Sprint Demos with business stakeholders to ensure developed solutions satisfy the business requirements.  Provide feedback to development team members as necessary
  • Conduct testing on system releases
  • Support QA testing process to minimize defects
  • Deliver necessary artifacts to support deployment timelines
  • Actively participate in Sprint Retrospective sessions to identify and initiate process improvements (continuous improvement)

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
  • 7+ years business systems analysis, preferably in field service/medical device industry.
  • 5 – 7 Years of Relevant Experience (ServiceMax or other Field Service system).
  • Experience in agile development methodology and tools (user story creation/grooming, scrum processes, sprint planning, Jira and/or related tools, such as Confluence, Q-Test, Vera, Tosca).
  • At least some experience with Salesforce.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in supporting Medical Device Field Services
  • Experience in ServiceMax
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a breadth and variety of internal and external resources. 
  • Ability to work with others in a high paced, fluid, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to operate in a global organization
  • ServiceMax Certification and/or Experience
  • Agile / Scrum Experience
  • Salesforce.com Certification and/or Experience

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
