We are seeking casual Veterinary Nurses to provide high quality nursing and technical services within the clinic and assist with teaching Undergraduate Veterinary students and Veterinary Technology students in a clinical environment.

Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or Bachelor of Applied Science (Veterinary Technology) and/or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology plus at least 2 years nursing experience, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated ability to deliver and maintain high standards of professional veterinary nursing in all areas of nursing.
Comfortable working sole charge nurse over a range of shifts from day, afternoon, overnights, weekends and pubic holidays. Shift loadings apply to shifts outside of normal work hours.
High level organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work flexibly with the use of initiative and autonomy.
Good written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to use these skills in managing professional & operational relationships with colleagues, clients and students.
Knowledge of ethical requirements, principles and practices relevant to all areas of veterinary nursing.
Knowledge and application of relevant policies and procedures applicable to employment, including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.
An effective team player who maintains effective working relationships in a team. Environment.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in the field of veterinary nursing and willingness to participate in other professional service activities e.g., VNCA, community organisations, RSPCA, PetPEP (AVA).
Possess or be able to apply for a radiation license.
These are casual appointments at HEW Level 4.
Casual hourly rates will be in the range $47.34 - $50.20, depending on experience, plus super of up to 11%.
