Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Openings) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position is with Elavon, Inc., a U.S. Bank company.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the team established to configure and develop complex application systems using existing and emerging technology platforms, and consult with business users on requirements gathering, system design, configuration, and implementation. This position will be working closely with the Delivery Manager, IT development, and Architecture groups while collaborating with several lines of business. Additional responsibilities include: guiding the technical design and development of highly complex, cross-functional, multi-platform, application systems; defining and documenting the designs for applications and enhancements; coordinating the definition of time tables and project tasks; estimating cost, and time; creating, reviewing, and coordinating execution of unit test plans for multiple projects; identifying opportunities to improve testing process; overseeing the design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution; developing high level program specifications; ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved; designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk; guiding technical staff and clients to investigate, analyze, and resolve highly complex technical problems; identifying and facilitating interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations; analyzing, defining, and documenting design for data, workflow, logical processes, and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external; overseeing monitoring of existing application systems operating efficiency; identifying opportunities for improvement and recommend technical solutions; building full stack application which provide DIT and DIY capability to customers; streaming data integrations framework; demonstrating deep understanding of the business needs driving projects; and becoming main point of contact for business lines at times. Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering and Information Technology plus 5 years as a Software Engineer, Developer, Technical Lead, or related. 

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with: developing and implementing applications; system migration; programming; application design and architecture; Cloud services; Java; Springboot; software testing; Oracle; Agile methodologies; HTML; Jenkins; JavaScript; GIT; CSS; DevOps; SQL; Jira; SOAP; XML; Microservices; and CI/CD. Telecommuting available anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $135,200 - $171,000.
