The Director of Market Access Above Brand Strategy will be a highly visible leader, driving innovative and forward-thinking Market Access strategies across GSK’s entire portfolio. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Market Access Accounts, brand, VEO (Value, Economics, and Outcomes), and more to develop and implement strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals and push the boundaries of Market Access innovation. Additionally, the Director will work closely with key customers to devise and implement strategies that drive optimal outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end ownership of innovative above brand initiatives across GSK’s portfolio which may include development, implementation, pull-through, and measurement.
  • Partner with Market Access Account teams to:
    • Influence and drive access strategies that transcend individual brands, focusing on portfolio-wide access challenges and opportunities.
    • Engage with customers, such as payers, IDNs, etc., to identify partnership/initiative opportunities and facilitate effective execution of active initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and organization across internal stakeholders such as Brand teams, VEO, and legal/compliance to ensure success of initiatives.
  • Define and measure clear KPIs for each initiative to ground internal stakeholders and customers in performance and expectations.
  • Identify and anticipate Market Access trends and dynamics that may impact the company’s portfolio and leverage these insights to inform innovative strategies.
  • Identify and implement tools and resources to support Account teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Market Access professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Travel Required: Yes, 10-20%

Management Responsibilities:

  • Set clear direction for your direct reports aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide direct reports with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development.
  • Reprioritize work, as needed. Enable others to do their job well by communicating information and making decisions in a clear, timely manner.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2+ years developing and implementing innovative brand or access life science strategies at a portfolio level.
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience leading projects with a diverse set of stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant pharmaceutical or otherwise relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of effective customer engagement preferably in business services or account management.
  • Ability to combine data analysis with qualitative insights to identify and explain Market Access, brand, and above-brand drivers of performance.
  • Strong understanding of US Market Access including payers, healthcare systems, and landscape.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills.
  • Experience hiring and managing third-party vendors.
