About the Role
Oversee all investment analytics-related activities and deliver enterprise-wide change initiatives for the Group CIO. Spearhead positive change campaigns pertaining to the optimization of existing analytics policies directly resulting in performance improvement across the businesses. Operate as leader, manager, and strategic planner, collaborating closely with Operations, Finance, Actuarial and Risk to operationalise ICU analytics initiatives.Roles and Responsibilities:
Spearhead and oversee the continued development and implementation of next generation investment analytics, risk frameworks and processes for AIA group wide, leveraging in-house and vendor tools and capabilities
Collaborating with partner teams to enhance existing analytics and risk architecture to support in-depth investment and risk analytics whilst striving for a consistent, coherent and nimble analytics ecosystem
Drive performance of analytics solutions to impact overall business results while keeping costs in check and ensuring the department remains within the planned budget
Oversee and manage digital transformations of existing manual analytic workstreams encompassing systems / technology, processes, people and data
Responsible for setting the team vision and culture and championing for the use of data in making key business decisions
Lead and manage the analytics team, and play a mentorship role to key analytics personnel, constantly honing their professional skills, and preparing them for the occupation of his position in future
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education – Masters
Experience – 20+ years
Experience in managerial position, coaching and leading a team of highly educated people
Experience in Asset-Liability Management, Derivatives and multi-asset investment strategies
Strong analytical skills with a sound understanding of financial mathematics and statistics; familiarity with econometrics
Proficiency in Python & R, and/or other data analysis and programming languages. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and/or other data visualization packages
Certifications/licenses – CFA or similar an advantage
Special skills – Quantitative experience a must – statistics / stochastic modelling / quantitative analytics
