Lead National Property & Leasing Strategy Across a National Healthcare Portfolio

To support the continued evolution of our national portfolio, we are seeking an experienced National Property & Leasing Manager to lead enterprise-wide leasing strategy, commercial property transactions and portfolio optimisation across a complex national portfolio.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where your expertise will shape major property decisions, influence long-term portfolio strategy and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes in a purpose-driven organisation.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Director, Property Management, you will lead commercial leasing, transaction management and portfolio optimisation across St Vincent’s national property portfolio.
You will partner closely with executive leaders, finance, legal teams and operational stakeholders to drive commercially sound property outcomes aligned to organisational priorities.
This role goes beyond day-to-day leasing. You will help shape the future direction of the portfolio through strategic planning, complex negotiations and value creation initiatives.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, with flexibility to be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, alongside national travel as required.
What You’ll Do
Lead national leasing and property strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise, divisional and operational priorities
Drive complex commercial leasing negotiations, transactions and portfolio initiatives across a diverse national property footprint
Partner with executive leaders, divisional teams and operational stakeholders to support strategic property planning, business cases and feasibility assessments
Build strong relationships across internal stakeholders, external partners, landlords, contractors and government agencies to achieve commercially sound property outcomes
Identify, assess and mitigate leasing and property-related risks, ensuring strong governance and compliance across the portfolio
Oversee enterprise leasing registers, reporting frameworks and property systems, including renewals, transactions and portfolio performance insights
Drive portfolio optimisation by identifying growth, revenue and value creation opportunities across property and real estate assets
Support financial and commercial outcomes through budget development, revenue forecasting and property portfolio performance analysis
Lead the ongoing maturity of property systems, reporting and processes, including opportunities to centralise and enhance portfolio management capability
Ensure statutory, contractual and corporate governance compliance across property and leasing functions
Monitor market trends and emerging opportunities across the commercial property sector to embed best-practice approaches and inform strategic decision-making.
About You
You are a commercially astute property professional who thrives in complex environments and can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
You bring strong commercial acumen, credibility with senior stakeholders and experience managing complex negotiations and property transactions.
Key Experience & Capability:
10+ years’ experience in commercial property, leasing or corporate real estate, ideally within complex enterprise environments
Significant experience managing complex property transactions, lease negotiations and multi-party commercial arrangements
Strong understanding of property, legal and valuation principles, with sound commercial judgement
Strong financial acumen, with exposure to valuation, financial analysis or portfolio performance management
Demonstrated people leadership and team management experience
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across senior leadership and diverse stakeholder groups
Extensive experience preparing and presenting high-quality recommendations and outcomes to executive and senior leadership teams
Highly organised, with strong prioritisation capability and exceptional attention to detail
Advanced capability across Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and property-related systems/platforms
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property, Real Estate or a related discipline.
Desirable
Experience within healthcare, aged care or similarly complex institutional property portfolios
Experience across property development, project delivery or infrastructure-related initiatives
Exposure to acquisitions, divestments and complex land transactions
