Job Title: Manager, Implementation

Group: Implementation and Trainings

Job Description: 

Reporting to the Sector Vice President you are responsible for managing a team of Implementation and Training Consultants, focused on partnering with clients to successfully implement and deploy Trimble Maps product solutions to achieve business goals. In addition to your managerial duties, this role will require you to act as a working manager, assisting with project management responsibilities across the team and handling some implementation engagements as well. The successful candidate will establish best practices for implementation and training processes to drive consistency across the team and enhance customer satisfaction. As a people manager, you will coach, mentor, and manage performance to help grow team knowledge and professional skills, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and supporting ongoing professional development.

Core Functions:

  • Strategically assess, plan, and execute on initiatives to constantly improve the processes, workflows, and capacity of the Implementation and Training team

  • Develop project management methodology, inclusive of tools and standardizing deliverables for Professional Services offerings

  • Manage and balance team workloads and project assignments, ensuring adherence to best practices and client communication expectations

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Sales Engineering, Support, Customer Experience, Product Management and Development to ensure success within the Implementation phase and ensuring smooth transitions to and from the implementation phase of the customer lifecycle

  • Cultivate talent; build strong morale; motivate and inspire the team to want to exceed expectations

  • Facilitate customer scoping calls to consult and propose professional services engagements

  • Develop and drive KPIs for implementation team members to measure and support overall customer health and success during the implementation phase of the customer lifecycle

  • Communicate and facilitate regular meetings with management, staff and customer operations to provide updates on current projects; highlighting successes, bringing attention to projects in jeopardy

  • Provides information on related program content as necessary to facilitate and ensure adherence to contract obligations and overall project success 

  • Strong working knowledge of customer business requirement definition; ability to conduct effective, thorough review of customer project requirements and deliverables 

  • Ensure projects are progressing in a positive and timely manner to achieve on-time solution delivery and customer satisfaction

  • Assist in troubleshooting implementation challenges and resolve issues that may arise during active implementations

  • Work on problems of diverse scope; take a new perspective on existing solutions and resolve a wide range of issues with a creative and consultative approach.
  • Independently manage some customer projects; provide mentorship to newer team members and/or partner on customer projects

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years’ of progressive experience in functional / technical software implementation and project management 

  • 2+ years building and managing high performing teams

  • 2+  years Transportation Industry experience 

  • NPTC Certification preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple complex communications and software application implementation project teams simultaneously; demonstrated ability to work on concurrent tasks while effectively organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating work assignments 

  • Ability to effectively plan, assign, prioritize, and oversee the work of others while promoting and contributing to a team environment 

  • Ability to manage and motivate team members in a remote environment

  • Ability to work well under pressure; ability to produce a high degree of accuracy in work 

  • Ability to establish priorities and handle multiple assignments concurrently with minimal direction in a dynamic work environment

  • Willingness and ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer management, co-workers and staff, and vendors.  

  • Coordinates multiple priorities while maintaining consistency and effectiveness of active, simultaneous projects 

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours as necessary to meet company goals and deadlines 

  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle, especially as it relates to a commercial software package implementation and customization

  • Travel requirement up to 30%

  • Full clean driver's license
