The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Global Customer Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role driving cost efficiency by increasing container and trailer utilization, optimizing export network flow paths, and ensuring business resilience across our international network. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic logistics efficiency programs.
As a Global Customer Logistics Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Your primary focus is to drive impactful results as the PMO for Global Load Factor Programs
Develop project plans with timelines, milestones and dependencies, while identifying critical project risks
Ensure execution and delivery of operating plan and strategic plan targets
Establish an operating rhythm while leading global cross-functional project teams. Enhance and deploy the Load Factor playbook
Serve as the PMO for Business Resilience Planning, acting as the GL BRP Liaison to ensure effective communication and coordination. Manage and oversee Business Resilience Planning (BRP) projects to enhance organizational resilience. Lead and monitor adherence to policies and Business Resilience Planning, coordinating with the Business Resilience Governance Committee and Logistics Project Sponsors
Drive initiatives to optimize international network flows. Collaborate closely with the Logistics Network Optimization and Global Transportation team to operationalize opportunities.
Lead global strategic projects focused on redesigning international product flow paths to improve cost efficiency
Establish and govern processes to ensure adherence and compliance within logistics operations.
Analyze data to identify trends and inefficiencies, and benchmark externally to implement best-in-class shipping methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Logistics, IT, EHS, Engineering, Packaging and Supply Chain Planning, to deliver results
Communicate with stakeholders and provide executive report outs regularly
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, engineering, business or related field (completed and verified prior to start)
Seven (7) years of experience in supply chain, distribution, transportation, or logistics, with three (3+) years of leadership experience.
At least three (3) years of experience in project management and logistics
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, project management(PMP)
Experience in implementing global project plans to improve shipping efficiency
Expertise in transformation management
Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative solutions to drive improvements.
Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence decision-making. Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects.
Work location:
Maplewood, MN - at least 4 days per week in office
Wroclaw, Poland - at least 4 days per week in office
Neuss, Germany - at least 4 days per week in office
Travel: May include up to 20%
Relocation Assistance: may be authorized
