Job Summary:
The Vice President, Development leads the development of new and innovative strategies that create opportunity and competitive advantage for growth through procurements.
Essential Functions:
- Identify, develop and manage RFP / procurement pipeline and initiatives
- Develop strategy and roadmap for success in winning competitive procurements
- Manage ground game activities necessary to effectively execute including deploying and managing Business Development and CBO assets, coordinating with GR / RA to build strategy and teams, coordinate with capture planning team to managing in market activity, work with key external stakeholders in the markets pursued to promote CareSource objectives, and take an active role in proposal development process
- Understand how to assess and identify which opportunities to pursue
- Mange teams across different functions needed to execute in market on an initiative
- Work with state administrators to develop and sell programs where CareSource could be the Managed Medicaid solution
- Must be able to open doors and attain access with key state decision makers and influencers such Medicaid Directors and key state personnel
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field is required
- Master’s in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field is preferred
- Ten (10) or more years of executive leadership experience is required
- Five (5) or more years of experience in managed care procurements or other relevant experience is required
- Experience in a leadership position in Health and Human Services or Medicaid Division is required
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong collaborative skills, working with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners
- Extensive experience leading large, diverse teams to successful outcomes
- Strong understanding of healthcare finances
- Acumen in strategic positioning, infrastructure development & design and proven ability to introduce new products; experience leading an organization through public/private partnerships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and board presentation experience

Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation range $150,000-$300,000. CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
