DHA Technical Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage daily with DHA branches across assigned areas. Areas include Richards Bay, KwaNgwanase, KwaDukuza, Mbazwana, Vryheid and Zululand (Ulundi).

  • Provide IRE demonstrations, training sessions, and one-on-one consultations

  • Organize and deliver branch training as required

  • Communicate new IRE services, updates, and procedures to DHA staff

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with DHA staff and DHA IT teams

  • Troubleshoot IRE and POS-related issues at branch level

  • Support product rollouts, installations, and new version training

  • Visit and support sites with transaction, reconciliation, or day-end issues.

  • Investigate sites with low or no POS card activity

  • Ensure successful day-end and shift processes at supported sites

  • Log and track all incidents and queries on Ivanti

  • Keep accurate records of engagements, resolutions, and follow-ups

  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports and training documentation

  • Assist in onboarding and supporting additional DHA consultants when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in technical support, training, or support consulting

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and user support skills

  • Confident presenter/trainer with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

  • Good working knowledge of Windows, computer systems, and Microsoft Office

  • Exposure to Oracle databases and basic SQL querying

  • Matric required; A+ and/or SQL certification

  • Own reliable vehicle (registered in your name), valid driver’s license, roadworthy certificate, and active vehicle insurance (to ensure eligibility for company car allowance)

  • Clear criminal record

  • Willing and able to travel extensively across KZN
