Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant/Associate/Professor of Endocrinology, Internal Medicine Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0139778]

Role of the Position

The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in Endocrinology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Responsibilities will include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting as well as supervision and teaching of Endocrinology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students.  The training programs are affiliated with the University Medical Center (UMC) of Southern Nevada, and offer a comprehensive mix of inpatient and ambulatory teaching experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and successfully completed an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency training, and an ACGME accredited Endocrinology Fellowship program. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine and be board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology prior to the start date. If board eligible, credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.  

Candidates must be able to possess and maintain a Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA License. Nevada medical license must be obtained prior to the start date, malpractice coverage meeting credentialing requirements and must be able to obtain privileges at the University Medical Center (UMC) and other site locations as needed.  Finalists may be subject to a background check.
