The Dow Chemical Company Finance organization has an opening for Treasury Funding Director within the Treasury’s Global Funding Team, located at the company’s world headquarters in Midland, Michigan. This purpose of this position is to develop and execute the company’s funding strategy to ensure the company’s financing and liquidity requirements are achieved. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Global Funding Team reporting to the Global Funding Director. The Capital Markets/Funding team manages all of the company’s global funding activities, capital markets transactions and bank relationships. Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyzing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of financing transactions, which including but not limited to debt issuance and redemption, credit agreements, leases, letters of credit, and working capital facilities, etc.
- People leadership across the region managing indirect reports to ensure proper alignment, best practices, focus resources and efforts, motivate teams, and provide guidance and coaching for people with various and diverse backgrounds.
- Analyze and manage short-term and long-term debt refinancing need via implementing various financial instruments, including but not limited to debt capital market activities, banking facilities, etc.
- Review, negotiate and implement new banking facilities in addition to maintaining existing facilities.
- Review, negotiate and implement certain structured leasing transactions; Manage lease policy and lease authorization process.
- Prepare and coordinate for reporting of financing activities, including position and transaction summaries, market fundamentals, NPV analysis, etc.
- Manage and coordinate with regional teams to manage the administration of the company’s Accounts Receivable facilities.
- Manage the administration of the company’s debt portfolios, including internal reporting and analysis on portfolio, monitor and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Manage the company’s letter of credit portfolio, negotiate, and execute relevant instruments for North America.
- Responsible for managing Company Owned Life Insurance Policy to support liquidity management
- Complete ad-hoc requests, deliver projects and fulfill other routine duties as may be appropriate and/or required.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with a focus in planning, funding, investment or capital markets, and/or other relevant experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of: economics macro and micro variables, their determinants and their basic interaction
- Analytical thinking with ability to analyze complex financial instruments and recommend optimal strategies.
- Able to make decisions with limited information, demonstrate strong negotiation skills, work under pressure and high market volatility, prioritize competing priorities, leverage knowledge through the team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Interpersonal skills: able to lead cross-functional teams and represent the company in negotiations with financial institutions.
- Direct or indirect people leadership experience
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MBA with a finance focus preferred)
- Proficient as user of software such as Microsoft office (Excel in particular). Knowledge of Bloomberg, SAP, Quantum FIS
- Prior experience in other Corporate Treasury processes and/or banking industry is desirable. Understanding of financial markets and financing instrument, corporate finance, risk management, asset valuation, accounting principles and financial statement interpretation, business/financial law, strong knowledge of internal control requirements and related policies and procedures.
