Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Run monthly/quarterly/yearly closing for FHCS Company in close corporation with company management and controlling 

  • Safeguard all legal requirements with regards to local and international accounting rules  

  • Maintain bank facilities and control transactions 

  • Inform Company Management about relevant KPI’s  

  • Safeguard a proper archiving of documents 

  • Most likely: Manage a team to run all relevant accounting functions (debtors, suppliers, assets, General ledger) 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Safeguard all requirements of segregation of duties for the company in the area of Accounting 

  • Check and approval of payments  

  • Reporting of all tax relevant information and financial transactions of the company to state authorities 

  • Involvement at audits  

  • Continuous improvement in Financial Area 

Organization

  • Directly Reports to: Country Director Finance and Controlling or Manager Finance and Controlling  

  • Functionally reports to: same 

  • Number of Direct reports: Depends on team structure 

Interactions (internal & external)

  • Management & Controlling department of FHCS Country 

  • FHCS Corporate Functions  

  • Auditors & Local tax authorities 

  • Suppliers and Debtors 

  • Banks 

Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education

  • Accounting Certificate  

  • Fluent English written and spoken to lead correspondence with FHCS group wide stakeholders 

  • Many years (>5) of experience working in the finance and accounting area 

Specific knowledge

  • Very good Local GAAP and IFRS Accounting knowledge 

  • FI module of SAP or other System in the country applied 

  • Understand different business models of FHCS for Consumer, Professional and Production 

  • Basic understanding of Lean / PIAS Methods
