We are hiring an Associate/Senior Associate for our Investment Operations team in our Singapore office.

Job Description:

Position Overview
The Investment Operations team at Cambridge Associates is responsible for the oversight and execution of investment decisions for our EMEA and APAC clients. This team brings together Transaction Services and Treasury Operations under a single function, covering the full spectrum of CA's Advisory and Discretionary service offering. This includes maintaining close communication with the Portfolio Implementation Team, Investment Team, and other internal teams such as legal and compliance, external investment managers, banks/custodians, and clients. This role is based in Singapore and will be responsible for trades and treasury activities across the EMEA and APAC region.


Specific responsibilities of the Senior Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Trade Execution & Lifecycle Management: Complete subscription and redemption documentation for funds across different asset classes (Long Only, Hedge Fund, and Private Investments). Follow through the full lifecycle of each trade in accordance with defined workflows relative to each client's service model, ensuring all processes align with industry standards and the highest quality standards.
  • AML/KYC & Risk Management: Facilitate and navigate AML/KYC requirements for subscription and redemption transactions in close collaboration with the Client Information Management Team. Identify firm and client risks, adjust processes accordingly, and implement proactive solutions to optimise operational processes and mitigate potential risks.
  • Client Service & Communication: Monitor client inboxes for actionable correspondence and coordinate relevant communication (e.g. trade execution, corporate actions) between internal teams, investment managers, and clients. Proactively support client objectives and deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs, communicating with professionalism and ease even in complex situations.
  • Client Data Management & Asset Transfers: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in collaboration with the Portfolio Implementation Management team. Coordinate asset transfers between clients, custodians, and investment managers, maintaining account records throughout.
  • Investment Expertise & Market Awareness: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of various investment product types, vehicles, and asset classes, including associated nuances and trade-related complexities. Maintain awareness of current investment themes, client interests, and broader investment operations industry concepts to support informed decision-making.
  • Technology & Operational Excellence: Master the applications supporting CA's trading and treasury workflows. Utilise internal CA resources and tools effectively to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest quality standards through meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Implementation Management, Treasury Operations, and broader business teams to monitor client transactions and strengthen cross-functional processes. Serve as a trusted partner to internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships through clear, professional communication.
  • Project Participation: Actively participate in projects and initiatives, contributing valuable insights and expertise to drive successful outcomes and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Training & Development: Actively participate in the training of others, sharing knowledge and expertise. Suggest ideas to improve training programmes and support the development of team members.


Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of related work experience preferred
  • Experience with trade implementation/execution, settlement related processes, and treasury/cash management would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute with precision
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and balance competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in a client servicing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges
  • Professional, focused, and disciplined approach to work responsibilities
  • Experience in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
