About the role

This internship will involve supporting the design of our commercial product. The intern will contribute to the design of a water purification system and gas/liquid phase separators for electrolysis. The intern will procure mechanical components (pumps, valves, sensors, etc.) that fulfill the provided requirements. The role may involve working with vendors to design and develop custom components.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or similar.

  • Comfortable working with basic mechanical and/or electrical components and motivated to take ownership (agency) of hands-on lab work

  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment and can learn, iterate, and execute with speed (velocity)

  • Willing to roll up their sleeves to support testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical modifications as needed

  • Must be available to start in February 2026 or earlier and work on-site in Mountain View / San Francisco

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to following through (accountability)

  • Clear, thoughtful communicator who works well on small, collaborative teams
