Job Description Summary

The Engineering Project Leader position will support program development for refurbished and remanufactured Diagnostic Imaging equipment including CTs, MRIs, X-Ray equipment (including mammography), PET and Nuclear Medicine for use by global teams. This position will contribute to achieving quality objectives, meeting development schedules, and drive team execution, as well as communicating program status and escalating issues when appropriate to expedite program completion. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver program activities for Refurbished and Remanufactured Programs

    Work closely with global cross-functional teams to deliver effective product development process results

    Ensure that offerings are compliant with Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements

    Manage quality objectives, regulatory requirements, schedules, and program risks while making decisions based on business objectives

    Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

  • Responsible for developing and managing engineering / technology projects. Interfaces with internal/external customers to ensure organization resource allocation is made. Accountable to deliver the scope of work to the original cost estimate. Manages schedule, budget and integration of NPI and/or requisition projects, including influencing the projects to meet customer CTQs and hit tollgate milestones. Project is often a component of a program.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years experience within technical discipline, project management, or technical leadership or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 5 years progressive experience in the data management area, analytical analysis, project management or technical leadership.)

    4 years relevant project leadership experience.

    Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams and an ability to drive project design plans to completion

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards

    Excellent influencing skills

    7 years of relevant project leadership experience

    Experience with entire new product introduction (NPI) cycle of GEHC products

    Project management certification

    Service experience including service part and service procedure strategy development

    Experience with GEHC systems including MyWorkshop, Oracle, etc.

    Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan and execute programs. Established project management skills.
