 EBAD seeks a Quality /CMM Technician. This role will perform detailed product inspections supporting day-to-day production operations in Graham, KY.  Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) duties will focus on validating production parts but may also include inspection & documentation of development parts for new designs.  Quality Technician duties will also support ongoing production activities daily.

Responsibilities Include:

• Utilize all standard inspection tools and equipment, including CMM.
• Basic programming of CMM to inspect parts to drawing & specification requirements.
• Interpret inspection results and create inspection data packages.
• Assist and maintain calibration and operational status of the CMM system in accordance with requirements and EBAD procedures.
• Assure accurate documentation to provide objective evidence of inspections, whether it be via CMM or other tools/equipment.
• Review shop floor documentation for accuracy & legibility. This includes pre-production, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Daily inspection of in-process materials and finished goods.
• Coordination of shelf-life controlled materials, calibrated inspection equipment, and lot acceptance sampling.
• Maintain shop floor presence to field & address quality-related questions and issues.
• Provide quality-related training to colleagues.

Requirements:

• Must have experience inspecting hardware with a CMM.
• Must be capable of basic programming of a CMM.
• Experience using & programming a Hexagon Global S (or equivalent) and using PCDMIS preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in Aerospace & Defense Inspection, Test or related Quality role preferred.
• Must be able to interpret technical drawings, military specifications and industry standards.  Knowledge of GD&T is preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9000 environment preferred.
• Attention to detail while working independently in a production environment is required.
• Accurate records of activities and creation of discrepancy reports required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to use and understand calibrated measurement tools.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) in English.
• Effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels.

The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and 2+ years of experience with production and basic inspection of mechanical and/or chemical components in an aerospace or defense related company. Candidates must be able to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization. Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ, or CQT/CQE/CQM Certification is a plus.

Formal CMM training and experience is desired; however, EBAD may assist with, and provide allowance for completion of supplementary training if necessary for the right candidate. May be required to travel for this training.
