The Role and Team

We are seeking an experienced and creative Employer Brand Specialist to help position Proofpoint as an employer of choice in the cybersecurity industry. In this role, you’ll drive our employer branding initiatives to attract, engage, and retain top talent by showcasing our unique culture, values, and career opportunities. You’ll collaborate across departments to highlight how we defend data and protect people through meaningful and impactful work.

Your day-to-day:

  • Employer Brand Content Strategy: Develop and implement employer branding strategies that align with our company mission, culture, and business objectives.
  • Content Creation: Create and curate engaging content (articles, videos, social posts, employee spotlights) that showcases our culture, values, and employee experiences across platforms (corporate website, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.).
  • Employer Award Strategy: Identify and pursue relevant Employer Brand awards to earn external credibility as an employer of choice.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: Manage and enhance the company’s presence on career-focused social platforms, ensuring messaging aligns with our EVP and resonates with prospective employees.
  • Collaboration with HR and Marketing: Partner with HR, Marketing, and other departments to ensure consistency in messaging, internal culture programs, and external talent marketing initiatives.
  • Employee Advocacy: Work closely with internal teams to identify culture ambassadors who can share their experiences and strengthen the employer brand through storytelling.
  • Data & Reporting: Track and report key employer branding metrics, such as candidate engagement, social media performance, and employer reputation on review sites.
  • Market Trends: Stay updated on trends in employer branding, recruitment marketing, and talent attraction, especially within the cybersecurity industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing employer branding strategies.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in or knowledge of the cybersecurity industry is a plus.
  • Passion for building and promoting a strong, authentic employer brand.

Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 93,730.00 - 147,290.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 74,550.00 - 117,150.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 66,640.00 - 104,720.00 USD
