Opportunity:

Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to support a U.S. Navy maintenance work.  This role with lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT initiatives supporting the development, modernization, and sustainment of mission-critical software systems. This position is located in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery Maine.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage IT projects supporting the Navy maintenance ensuring alignment with mission objectives and contract requirements
  • Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment
  • Serve as the primary interface between the government stakeholders and technical team which may also include communication with the end-users
  • Manage the the using Agile/SAFe methodologies to deliver high quality, scalable software solutions
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, risk and issues
  • Ensure compliance with DoD standards, cybersecurity requirements and Navy specific policies
  • Support modernization of legacy systems, including cloud migration
  • Lead technical reviews and design sessions and contribute to PI planning sessions


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
  • 8 or more years of experience in IT project management with a focus on software development
  • Demonstrated experience working supporting DoD/Navy programs preferably in software maintenance, sustainment, modernization
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, predictive (waterfall), adaptive (agile) or hybrid
  • Experience managing cross functional technical teams (developers, engineers, testers, cyber)
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to attain


Desired:

  • Experience with working with ARCMIS program
  • PMP certified
  • SAFe certified Agilest or Certified Scrum Maste

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$86,100 - $181,000
