The Legal team is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company, including providing legal counsel across the organization, handling disputes, and creating and enforcing intellectual property.

Privacy Analyst

The primary role of the Privacy Analyst is to ensure the smooth operation of Resmed’s global privacy program, supporting the mission to help people achieve their full potential through better sleep and breathing. As part of the Privacy Enablement Team, this role focuses on operational and compliance activities, privacy support, risk assessments, and documentation for daily requests and business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day privacy risk assessments and maintain documentation for business requests and priorities

  • Support privacy ticketing workflows in Jira, ensuring tasks are tracked and completed efficiently

  • Keep privacy records accurate and up to date in tools such as OneTrust and Relyance AI

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across regions and functions to address privacy needs and ensure alignment with global policies

  • Prepare and maintain dashboards, reports, and trackers for privacy tickets and records as requested

  • Assist in gathering data and documentation for privacy assessments, audits, and reviews

  • Help standardize and improve operational processes and templates used by the Privacy Team

  • Participate in team meetings, sharing observations on recurring operational issues or data quality trends

  • Flag discrepancies, gaps, or potential issues in privacy records to subject matter experts for further review

  • Contribute to building scalable, reliable privacy support that enables global operations

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in operational, compliance, legal support, data management, or a similar role

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records across multiple systems

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English, with the ability to interact professionally with global stakeholders

  • Comfortable working with ticketing tools and business applications (e.g., Jira, project trackers, spreadsheets)

  • Ability to follow structured processes, apply guidelines consistently, and escalate issues when needed

  • Demonstrates drives collaboration by working effectively with privacy leads, SMEs, and cross-functional partners to enhance privacy support and data quality

Preferred

  • Experience with privacy, data protection, compliance, or legal operations

  • Familiarity with privacy management tools (ideally OneTrust or Relyance AI) or similar GRC/compliance platforms

  • Basic understanding of global privacy concepts (e.g., personal data, processing activities, data mapping, data subject rights)

  • Prior experience working in a global or shared services/operations environment

  • Certifications such as IAPP’s Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent are beneficial, especially for roles involving complex privacy compliance and global data protection
