Job Description Summary

The KPO Champion acts as the primary bridge between the Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) and the Operations/Manufacturing floor. Working in close partnership with the KPO Supervisor, the KPO Champion is responsible for the direct execution of lean improvements and workstation optimization. While the KPO Supervisor leads the workshop and design strategy, the KPO Champion focuses on the implementation, integration, and shop-floor adoption of these lean initiatives. This role reports directly to the Lean Leader.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Workstation Optimization: Lead the implementation of 5S standards and ergonomic improvements directly at the manufacturing workstations to enhance operator safety and efficiency.

  • Lean Line Construction: Execute the physical build and setup of lean production lines, ensuring alignment with standardized work and flow requirements.

  • Project Execution: Provide direct, hands-on support for Risk Reduction and Quality Improvement projects, translating KPO concepts into floor-level realities.

  • Kaizen Integration: Act as the on-the-floor liaison to integrate Kaizen project outcomes into daily manufacturing processes, ensuring sustainment and troubleshooting initial implementation challenges.

  • Collaboration: Partner with the KPO Supervisor to ensure that Moonshine and Low-Cost Automation solutions are effectively piloted and adopted within the production environment.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a high standard of safety during all shop-floor improvement activities and ensure all modifications meet site safety regulations.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum NITEC or equivalent technical certification.

  • At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Standard Work, Kaizen).

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Passion for eliminating waste and improving the daily experience of the manufacturing team.
