About us:
Marshfield Animal Hospital is a state-of-the art facility in a beautiful coastal community. We are a thriving, fast-paced six doctor hospital that prides ourselves on providing a fear free, low stress patient experience. We are currently looking for additional support staff for behind the scenes. This is a great opportunity for an individual to gain more hands-on experiences in providing patient care, learning the responsibilities of a veterinary technician and supporting the veterinarian.
Qualifications
Willingness to maintain a clean, sanitized, organized working environment.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Available to evening and Saturday shift rotations.
Lift 50lbs. independently, squat, bend and stand several ours of the day.
Responsibilities
Assist technician and veterinarians with exams, treatments, restocking and cleanliness of the clinic and patient's surroundings.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications, feed walk and provide patient care.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
Pay Range Up to $24.00/hourly based on experience
