We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer for a critical new development project involving the rewrite of a legacy system for a prominent financial client. The candidate will have 5 to 7+ years of expertise in automated testing. This role requires a solid foundation in Java programming, Selenium, Qtest, Consul, Eclipse IDE (Integrated Development Environment), TestNG, SQL, Testing Metrics, and comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing,  executing automated test suites, and collaborate effectively in an Agile environment ensuring the reliability and quality of software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver, ensuring high quality and reliability of software applications.
  • Utilize Java programming language to create robust and scalable automated test scripts.
  • Design, implement, and execute automated test cases, regression suites, and testing frameworks utilizing tools like Qtest, Consul, Eclipse IDE, and TestNG.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Conduct thorough testing of APIs, databases (SQL), and user interfaces to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Utilize Testing Metrics to track, analyze, and report test results and quality metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in testing processes.
  • Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies to align testing activities with development cycles.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting best practices in test automation, Agile methodologies, and testing standards.
  • Utilizing tools like Jira, Confluence, and Gliffy for efficient management and communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of extensive experience as a Test Automation Engineer, specializing in Selenium WebDriver and Java programming for test automation.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Selenium WebDriver for automated testing.
    • Java programming language for developing robust test scripts.
    • Test management tools like Qtest and Consul.
    • Eclipse IDE, TestNG, SQL for testing and development.
    • Implementing and analyzing Testing Metrics for quality assessment.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and related activities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain regression suites and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication abilities.
