As part of Intel Foundry and within our Foundry Construction and Sourcing organization, we are seeking an experienced Account Manager to own the strategic and operational relationship with one of our largest semiconductor equipment manufacturers.
In this role, you will be the primary interface between our fab network and the supplier, driving commercial negotiations, cost/performance improvements, and alignment to our technology and capacity roadmaps. You will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Capital Procurement to deliver business outcomes that enable new capability into our engineering organization and predictable fab operations at scale for our manufacturing organization. You will drive development and implementation of both commercial and technology strategies to secure innovation and enable long term business growth.
What you are responsible for:
Own the Supplier Relationship: Serve as the single threaded leader for a top-tier equipment supplier across commercial, delivery, quality, and service dimensions; facilitate executive business reviews and quarterly operating cadences. Manages a large, highly visible strategic supplier relation, often with senior leadership/executive contacts to drive value through strategic sourcing decisions and align philosophical business partnership and working model across both companies.
Align on Technology and Capacity Roadmaps: Coordinate with Process/Manufacturing Engineering and the supplier on tool/variant selection, upgrades, and lifecycle planning; integrate qualification timelines with fab ramp plans.
Supplier Performance Management: Define and track KPIs (OTD, cycle time, install-to-accept, MTBF/MTTR, cost, quality/defect rates, parts availability); drive structured corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Negotiate and Manage Commercials: Lead pricing, terms, lead-time, payment, warranty, spares/service agreements, and long-term supply arrangements; ensure compliance to master agreements and capitalize on volume leverage. Create robust negotiation strategies and cost targeting through understanding of market dynamics, industry benchmarking, and key trends.
Cost and Value Delivery: Lead total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives-capex optimization, spares/consumables strategies, field service models, reuse and extend-use programs, and performance-based contracts.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Orchestrate internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, PMO, Finance, Legal) to resolve issues, approve changes (ECOs), and land decisions; drive clarity in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.
Data-Driven Business Management: Maintain accurate demand signals, install/qualification schedules, and supply commits; use dashboards and analytics to anticipate constraints and inform trade-off decisions.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to company policies, ESG/Responsible Sourcing standards, trade compliance, and contractual obligations.
People management: Drive results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.
In this role you will work together with commodity managers and supply chain engineers to set priorities and to ensure all cost, quality, availability, technology, and sustainability goals are achieved consistently.
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations-preferably in high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor equipment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capital equipment lifecycles, and supplier performance management.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and drive cross functional alignment.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast paced, matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
Direct experience working with semiconductor fab equipment suppliers (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition, metrology).
Proven track record in managing long-term supplier partnerships, cost reduction programs, and supply continuity strategies.
Familiarity with technical roadmaps, equipment qualification processes, and capital project planning in semiconductor fabs.
Experience supporting or leading escalations, risk mitigation activities, and executive level supplier business reviews.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $180,140.00-254,320.00 USD
