Position Overview:

As part of the talented Navico Group – Power Systems team, you will support a wide portfolio of marine and RV electrical products. You will work with the cross functional team to develop new innovative products for these markets.

Essential Functions:

  • You are responsible for bringing products from the conceptual phase, through design, prototype, qualification, and into production, following a phase gate development process.
  • You will be expected to work and collaborate with global teams encompassing electrical engineering, industrial design, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, and quality.
  • You will work with product management to develop technical product requirements.
  • You will develop detailed test plans.
  • You will create CAD models and drawings.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree – Mechanical Engineering
  • Creo or SolidWorks 3D design experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of New Product Development experience.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with injection molded plastics and metal stamping.
  • Experience with marine electrical products.
  • Experience developing products that meet UL, CSA, CE, and ABYC requirements.
  • Experience developing products using a phase gate process.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid office environment. Two to three days required in the office.
  • Electrical test lab
  • Travel 5% or less
