Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Merchant II Nike Direct Stores for the Jordan Brand in EMEA.

In this role you will be supporting the Jordan Field of Play assortment strategy in Nike and Jordan Stores from pre-season concept to in-season trade and post-season hindsight.

The Merchant II Nike Direct Stores is supporting the Jordan Merchandising Manager Nike Direct Stores for landing consumer right assortments across Nike and Jordan Stores in line with the Jordan brand priorities as well as Nike Direct plans. The scope of the role runs all the way from future season input informed by sales data and field insights to landing seasonal assortment in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

We are seeking a merchandiser with a curious mindset and a natural drive towards data driven decision making at every step of the process.

The candidate needs to have a passion for the Jordan consumer as well as strong marketplace knowledge focused on consumer and product.

The role requires a collaborative team player with strong communication skills that is eager to work in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners.

What you will work on

This role is supporting the landing of seasonal assortments in Nike and Jordan Store and partnering with cross-functional team to execute seasonal plans aligned with the Jordan brand architecture while going after consumer and retail moments.

You will leverage store insights and sales results to read and react at the pace of the consumer and inform future assortment and line planning decision. You will feed back consumer & marketplace trends related to Field of Play journeys, initiatives, retail and sports moments to the Jordan Field of Play Merchants for Nike Direct in service of assortment framework creation and seasonal business reviews.

Who you will work with

This role will report into the Jordan Merchandising Manager Nike Direct Stores.

You will work closely with your cross-functional partners in Nike Direct (DSM, Marketing, Territory / Store teams) as well as the cross-functional fields of play team and the wider Jordan merchandising team across consumer and marketplace.

What you bring

  • Prior experience in (retail) merchandising demonstrating a high level of product, retail, and merchandising competence, coupled with a strong understanding of the marketplace
  • Ability to work with peers, cross functional partners, and senior management on all aspects of the business within a matrix organizational set-up
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to evolve and drive change
  • Understanding of retail KPI
  • A forward looking, optimistic and curious attitude with a clear bias for action
  • A clear understanding of the EMEA consumer and EMEA marketplace.
  • Communicate vision and purpose - you are responsible for driving strategy short and long term and have inspirational storytelling skills
  • Proven track-record of successful stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Business orientation, analytical mentality, retail math, & have been involved in the decision-making processes responding to such dynamics
  • Ability to deliver results against tight and complex timelines with competing priorities
